Why buy a factory SBR instead of form 1'ing one yourself? Several reasons.

First - resale. No one buys guns with other people's names on it. This has a business name, so it's much more desirable on the used market.

Second - time. If you form 1 your receiver, you do the entire forms yourself, take the photos, upload everything and wait 60-90 days. These are ready on form 4 and can be in your hands in 7-10 days. Much better for summer shooting.

Third - engraving. Normal engraving will cost you $50-$75 to be done, not to mention the drive to drop it off, the wait, and then driving back to pick it up. That adds additional time and cost to your schedule. These are pre-engraved, no legwork, no waiting.

Fourth - forms. No one wants to fight through the ATF website to form 1 their receiver, wait 2-3 months, then have it denied on a technicality. These are done, ready to roll, and you can rep your INGO status almost immediately.
